Envirobond Products Corp. is the manufacturer of an innovative crushed stone paving product (EnviroPAVE) designed to eliminate the major weaknesses of traditional crushed aggregate systems without compromising the look and feel of the natural surroundings.

Using our unique process, we combine a naturally derived, organic “glue” with crushed aggregate screenings to produce a permeable, stabilized surface that resists erosion while increasing stability. EnviroPAVE’s binder (EnviroBINDER) uses a biological bond that continues to activate and re-activate over time. This means that it has the ability to break and re-bond allowing for the ultimate flexibility needed on a paved surface. This re-usable aspect also allows for easy maintenance for any damaged area, as the material can be raked, watered and packed back to a firm state.

Our binder is blended with the fines of the crushed stone. Once watered, the binder acts as the "glue" that locks the crushed screenings in place and firms to an elevated strength. As of 2005, with the research completed in the Lab, Envirobond has added a natural anti-Leaching agent that improves longevity and improves strength.

Application consists of standard base preparation, hand or machine spreading to an even depth determined by use and location specific factors, watering to activate the organic binder followed by roller compaction.

If you are looking for a solution to the constant wash-out of drives and paths during even moderate rainfalls but don't want the appearance of asphalt paving, we have a solution for you. Using locally available crushed stone, we can produce a variety of finishes and colours achieving the "look" you or your designer are interested in having. Because our organically derived binder is non-toxic you can feel free to create durable erosion resistant walks and paths near lakes, rivers and wilderness areas without fear of polluting the water or harming any wildlife. Plant roots will receive water through this surface (as it is water permeable) and plant growth is inhibited due to its self-healing nature preventing soil from accumulating in cracks where plants establish their roots. Pre-Blended EnviroPAVE Materials available from Kitchener, ON, Canada:

EnviroBINDER is available in 50lb bags and is applied at a rate of approximately 40lbs/ton of aggregate by weight. It is best pre-blended using a proper means to achieve a homogenous mixture. In situations that a pre-blend is not possible, EnviroBINDER can be applied to a material’s surface and tilled in thoroughly.
